OUR HISTORY

Arturo's is a well-known, consistently good, family-owned and operated restaurant that has been a staple on the Upper East Side since it opened in 1982.  The restaurant's owners, the husband and wife team of Joseph and Josephine, are there every night to greet the customers, prepare the food, and ensure that every moment is a pleasurable experience.

GREAT STAFF

Joseph is a hands-on proprietor, often found in the kitchen during the restaurant's busiest hours, cooking and preparing the delectable dishes that make Arturo's famous.  He's been in the business since working at the family pizza place since he was 12 years old.  Arturo's is named after the family patriarch who immigrated from Naples many years ago, and Joseph still uses the same traditional old-world recipes that were handed down to him by his father.

Customers are served by a loyal and reliable staff, including the first waiter and bartender, both of which have been with the restaurant nearly since its inception.

OUR MENU

Joseph has perfected the secrets to his cooking: All the food is hand-made from original recipes, using the finest ingredients, and adding the special touch, love.  That's how he's able to make his signature dishes unforgettable, like Osso Bucco, a Veal Chop Valdastano (stuffed with prosciutto & mozzarella), or Veal Cardinale Scallopini (top with prosciutto, mozzarella and hand-made pimentos).

Arturo's is also available for private parties for 20-35 people (call for more info).  And it's a great destination for all holidays where you will be treated to special menus, but at regular rates.  We also offerfree delivery (from 72nd - 92nd Streets, from the River to Park Avenue.)
