The bonding among boys, the collegiality among faculty and the respect between student and teacher combine to create an atmosphere at Buckley where learning and growth occur both in and beyond the classroom. The School strives to educate the whole boy, foster a lifelong love of learning and develop personal integrity and respect for others. Buckley provides a traditional, yet innovative, curriculum from kindergarten, Beginners, through ninth grade. Students are engaged in small group learning that encourages energetic communication and confident expression. In addition to a rigorous academic program, that includes six major subjects, two foreign languages and computer classes, every student participates in public speaking, studio art, crafts, music, physical education, stage productions, and above all, each student is encouraged to be kind, helpful and respectful of one another. In the Middle and Upper Schools, students take on leadership roles and are regularly required to work as a team.
