	A European Coffee shop with Mediterranean Eats - This restaurant and coffee shop exudes a cozy European feeling. When the weather is warm, the doors are opened and tables spill out onto the sidewalk, making this a prime place for UES people-watching. For both the health conscious and the glutton, Effy’s is the ideal place to grab a budget-conscious casual meal. The menu offers a Mediterranean inspired array of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and wraps, all prepared fresh while you wait. Most items are served with Effy’s special Israeli salad. You can find health drinks, red or white wine, and a few other select alcoholic drinks. Baked goods are available as well. Prepare to wait a long time for both coffee and food on weekends- the hungry crowds here easily overwhelm the staff. Effy’s delivers, and it offers a rare find: free Wifi. The crème de la crème, however, is the coffee itself. Effy’s serves Lavazza espresso; known as the “Favorite Coffee of Italy,” it makes for some of the best cappuccino I’ve had. Skip Starbucks and come to Effy’s for more character, creamier cappuccino, and real food.
