Exciting news for all the people that complain about the lack of hip restaurants on the Upper East Side: tonight, Ruairi Curtin will open his Irish gastropub The Penrose on 2nd Avenue between 82nd and 83rd streets. This is the sister establishment to downtown hot spots The Wren, Wilfie & Nell, and Bua.
