Actively learning with your child benefits your child in numerous ways, in addition to being a fun way to spend time together each week!
In our classes, you and your child will enjoy a wide variety of music including well-known Classical pieces, traditional children's songs, and contemporary favorites. The children play along with instruments such as maracas, wave drums, wrist bells, wood blocks, recorders, and many more. Starting at age two, the children will also play along on their own violins, guitars, and keyboards.
Each week, your teacher will introduce you to a different instrument of the orchestra and every child has the opportunity to play along with her. We also incorporate music-inspired movement into every class. Younger children find delight bouncing on balls to the rhythm of the music and older children will love dancing in coordination, solidifying the building blocks of rhythm, tempo, and dynamics through physical expression.
Every session, our music classes feature a new and exciting original curriculum. The model for our curriculum is based upon our belief that a child learns best in an environment in which he or she can have fun and experience creative, imaginative play. For that reason, we will be taking a musical journey each session. The children will eagerly follow along with our story, finding pleasure in learning while partaking in our musical adventures. No performance here! Our class is interactive and engages children beyond spectatorship. Not only will we learn about music, but we will also use music as a medium to learn about wherever our journey takes us.
This session, we're traveling around the world with Henry and the Hot Air Balloon.
Next session, we're going back in time with Talia and the Time Machine.
We are very excited for you to see our studio. We worked with a team of fabulous designers to create a space that is inviting, soothing, and tailored to children's and Mommies' needs. We have stroller parking and two large classrooms to accommodate the busy morning hours. Also, our lobby is equipped with a sensory wall of fun developmental toys and a bookshelf filled with children's books and puzzles to enjoy before or after class.
