TRAVEL PROGRAMS (Year Round)

Yorkville Travel Programs were created to offer talented and motivated players a chance to play against other competitive teams. Players have opportunities to improve their individual skills and learn team strategy with an emphasis on the dedication and perseverance needed to play competitive sports.

Although the goal of each outing is to win games, the focus is on learning how to win as a team. Practices play an especially important role in all of these programs, since it is during those times that a great deal of work toward achieving individual and team goals gets accomplished. With the help of professional coaches and volunteer parent coaches, we hope to provide an intensive learning experience that will be both challenging and fun.

Travel Baseball (Year Round)

Yorkville Youth Athletic Association is dedicated to providing an environment in which children and adults have fun with baseball. We want to instill in our players an appreciation and enjoyment of the game, by teaching them the complexities of baseball in an atmosphere that promotes teamwork and good sportsmanship.

The Yorkville Eagles participate in spring and fall travel baseball. From ages 8 through 14, Yorkville teams play league and tournament baseball throughout the tri-state area.

Travel Basketball (Year Round)

Travel Tackle Football (Fall)

Football is played nationwide and finally in our own backyard. The Yorkville Eagles are affiliated with the New York City Youth Football League (www.NYCYFL.com).

Teenagers in Yorkville also have the opportunity to give back to their community by participating in refereeing and umpiring games for our younger players. Interested teenagers attend clinics and workshops to prepare them to officiate at basketball, baseball and flag-football games. There are also opportunities for teenagers to do this work as community service or participate in our theatre internships.
